All appropriate project registration forms can be found at the web address http://www.societyforscience.org/isef/document/index.asp
ISEF has provided a thorough presentation at http://www.societyforscience.org/isef/about/rules_regulations.asp, covering this year's rules and regulations regarding science fair projects. SRC 101 PowerPoint will answer many questions regarding necessary forms required for projects. (Open Office can be used as a free alternative to PowerPoint to view this presentation.) Also, the web page contains an Intel ISEF Rules Wizard that will guide you to the appropriate forms required for your project.
In addition to the official forms, the following
brochures have been created to help you with your project.
You may click on the above links to print a .pdf
copy of the forms. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in
order to open the files. Click
here to download a copy of Adobe Acrobat.
The Approval Form is especially necessary for
certain projects. It assures proper guidelines are followed
regarding the use of human/animal subjects and that certain
substances or equipment are properly used. It also assures
that projects are in compliance with ISEF rules and with generally
accepted scientific standards.
Most projects will not require NACKES Scientific
Review Committee (SRC) approval. The links and resources above should help you determine the requirements for your project.
If your project requires approval, it is important to secure
approval so that your project will be eligible for the state science
fair, ISEF competition (high school), and Discovery Channel Young
Scientist Challenge (middle school). To obtain approval,
complete the above forms and mail them to:
NACKES Scientific Review Committee
CINSAM
Founders Hall, 519
Nunn Drive
Highland Heights, KY 41099
Requests for approval must be received by February 1, 2010
If the Scientific Review Committee requests
additional ISEF forms, you may obtain them at
http://societyforscience.org/isef/document.
